Giraffe Forklift Scrappage Scheme

The Giraffe Forklift Scrappage Scheme is designed to help businesses replace older, inefficient forklifts with brand-new models from our Giraffe – Our Brand Our Promise, MiMA Forklift or Cesab ranges. Whether your current truck is outdated, unreliable or no longer economical to repair, you can benefit from a guaranteed scrappage allowance when upgrading to a qualifying new machine.

Scrappage allowance is awarded based on your new truck’s lifting capacity:

Manual Pallet Trucks - £50 Scrappage Allowance

Powered Pallet Trucks - £100 Scrappage Allowance

Electric Pallet Trucks & Stackers - Up To £200 Scrappage Allowance

Forklifts 1.0T to 2.5T → £1,000 Scrappage Allowance

Forklifts 3.0T to 3.5T → £1,500 Scrappage Allowance

Forklifts 4.0T and Above → £2,000 Scrappage Allowance

Simply provide the details of your existing forklift at quotation, choose your new model, and we’ll apply the relevant allowance. Your old unit will then be collected and responsibly disposed of in line with environmental regulations, giving you a sustainable and hassle-free upgrade path.

  • What happens to my forklift after it’s scrapped?


    It will be environmentally disposed of by or on behalf of Giraffe, following all applicable regulations.

  • Can I apply multiple scrappage allowances to one new forklift?


    No — unless otherwise agreed in writing, only one scrappage allowance can be used per new truck.

  • Do I need to fully own the forklift I’m scrapping?


    Yes. The truck must be owned by you and free of any outstanding finance or third-party interest.

  • How is the scrappage allowance calculated?


    The allowance is based on the lifting capacity of your old forklift:

    • 1.0T–2.5T: £1,000

    • 3.0T–3.5T: £1,500

    • 4.0T and above: £2,000

  • Which new forklifts can I purchase under the scheme?


    The scrappage allowance is available on qualifying new models across Giraffe – Our Brand Our Promise and MiMA Forklift & Material Handling ranges.
