Our Story
From humble beginnings in 2020, Giraffe Group has grown into multi-Industry, multi-brand business spanning new cars, used cars, commercial vehicles, forklift trucks, and ATVs. With a passion for progress and a commitment to doing things differently, we’re proud to stand tall across the automotive, material handling, and off-road sectors.
Standing Tall Since 2020
The Giraffe Group was born in June 2020, right in the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic. While the world was facing uncertainty, Ross, Sean, and Conor saw an opportunity to do things differently—launching Giraffe Cars and Sell Your Car 2 Giraffe in Mallusk, with a bold mission: to bring a fresh, customer-focused approach to the used car market. From day one, the focus was on quality vehicles, honest service, and creating an experience that truly stood out from the crowd.
Growing Beyond Four Wheels
In October 2022, Giraffe Group took a major leap forward with the acquisition of JD ForkTrucks—a respected name in the forklift industry with over 40 years of experience. With this move, the Group stepped confidently into the world of material handling, becoming official distributors of CESAB, Mima, and Hifoune equipment across Ireland.
Building for the Future
By November 2022, the team had already begun transforming JD ForkTrucks’ home at 5 Sentry Lane. A full interior and exterior renovation brought new life to the site, while a brand-new forecourt and modern showroom laid the foundations for future growth across all branches of the business.
Expanding the Team & the Brand
As the vision grew, so did the team. By January 2023, Giraffe had expanded the team bringing energy, expertise, and ambition. With strong industry partnerships and a growing customer base, Giraffe’s identity as a multi-sector, service-driven group began to take shape.
Recognised for Excellence
In November 2024, Giraffe Group’s progress was recognised on a national stage—winning Independent Dealer of the Year at the NI Motor Industry Awards. This milestone marked a proud moment for the team and a testament to the care, consistency, and character at the heart of the Giraffe approach.
A New Direction with Giraffe ATV
In April 2025, Giraffe Group expanded once again with the launch of Giraffe ATV, becoming official partners of Polaris. This exciting new venture brings world-class ATVs and UTVs to customers across Northern Ireland and beyond—supporting leisure, agricultural, and commercial needs with the same high standards and personal service Giraffe is known for.
Looking Ahead
From selling used cars in Mallusk to supplying forklifts across Ireland and ATVs across rural communities, Giraffe Group continues to stand tall, reach higher, and stand out from the crowd.
